Policies, procedures, releases, & waivers
This is a copy of what will be electronically signed if you enroll online & a hard copy if you enroll at the studio. This is required for all students regardless of age.
SECTION I: Medical Release
I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian. In case of medical emergency, if medical attention is needed for my child before I can be contacted, I authorize Kirkland Family Properties, Inc. DBA Salt and Light, to act on my behalf by contacting emergency personnel and following their advice for my child. I hear by absolve Kirkland Family Properties Inc., Dennis Kirkland, Robin Kirkland, Andrea Kirkland Lynn, Greg Lynn, Andrew Kirkland, Lauren Taylor, Kirkland Family Properties Inc. volunteers and subcontractors, entities for exhibitions off campus and all related organizations and staff rom any liability to me or any member of my family, by reason of injury sustained on said property. To the best of my knowledge, all medical concerns and conditions have been listed on the registration form.
SECTION II: Videography & Photography Release
I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian and grant Kirkland Family Properties, Inc. DBA Salt and Light, permission to use photographs and video for any legal use, including, but not limited to: publicity, copyright purposes, illustration, advertising, and web content. Furthermore, understand no royalty, fee, or any compensation shall become payable to me by reason of such use. I understand that I may revoke this authorization anytime by notifying Kirkland Family Properties Inc. in writing. The revocation will not affect any action taken before the receipt of this written notification.
SECTION III: Tuition
- Tuition fees are for the entire Season of 2023-24 for classes beginning on August 14, 2023- May 20, 2024.
- Tuition fees may be paid: 1) in full, 2) quarterly installments, or 3) monthly installments due 1st of each month.
- Paid tuition is nonrefundable.
- This contract is an agreement that I will fulfill my obligation to the season that is agreed upon, classes enrolled, additional applicable fees, and equipment.
- Late fee of $15 will be charged, per class, after 10 days past due and will result in inactivity.
- Students who withdraw without a written notice are responsible for continuing tuition payments until the 45 day written notice is received.
- Once a written notice is received and recorded, if tuitions are due within that 45 day window, I understand it is my responsibility to pay in full.
- These rules apply unless the student is injured and presents a doctor’s note.
- When possible, classes missed may be made up through arrangements with the administrator.
SECTION IV: Child Safety & Class Expectations
- All children must have parental/legal guardian supervision before and after classes.
- Students will not be released to anyone that is not on the profile card.
- If someone other than listed on profile card is to pick up my child, I will make arrangements for proper identification & communicate with administration in ample time.
- Proper attire must be worn during class time according to Salt and Light dress code.
- Salt and Light is not responsible for any loss or stolen items at any location or related event.
